Once at the last mountain pass we can see Machu Picchu mountain by first time and also the impressive and surreal landscape of the vast amazonian andes, over the mountain pass We will take our team picture; with our porters, chef and guides too. Following we will hike downhill for 10 minutes to the first Incan site of the day just next to the inca Trail, We stop here to be pleased by such amazing views of the dramatical bunch of mountains in front of us also your guide will share information about this incan place too. then We continue hiking downhill for 2 hours on the most well preserved Inca Trail stretch with direction to Intipata which was a massive terraced farming spot of the incas, this 2 hours stretch hike will be in the cloud forest which has for us a fantastic wildife such as birds as the cock of the rock ( the national bird of Peru) the Andean motmot , Chachalacas, the great Andean toucan, the blue faced masked trogon, tanagers, etc.
Upon our arrival to Intipata we will have personally for me one of best views of the whole Inca trail, We will see in front of us the silhouette of the short Inca Trail and on our left side will be standing Machu Picchu Mountain. Also here We give you plenty of time to you connect with nature, do a yoga session and be pleased by the Andean amazonian scenes, after this awesome view we hike 30 more minutes to wiñaywayna where is located our last basecamp and also here we will enjoy our delicious buffet lunch. Then after lunch you have a free afternoon to you take a refreshing shower, but you must know that the shower in cold with water coming from the mountains over 5000 m.a.s.l. Not everything is bad news due this last campsite is located at 2650 m.a.s.l in the rainforest where humidity and heat are very high so if you want to take a shower water temperature may be compensated by the enviroment temperature.
Later at 16:00 pm you will walk for 10 minutes to Wiñay Wayna inca site (mini Machu Picchu) in this breathtaking place your guide will give you a souvenir we prepare for you and also will share information about this masterpiece of our ancestors; getting you ready for the big day at Machu Picchu.
Later at 17:50 pm We will enjoy our last tea time full of popcorn, cookies, hot chocolate and also this will be our last dinner . After dinner It is an Classic Inca Trail tradition to arrange a ceremony in the evening to join again our porters, chef and tourists to thank them for the amazing job made. (if you wish to provide tips for them then you can do so at this time). It is recommendable to go to bed at a reasonable time to get up in the early hours of the morning to finally go to our last target: the lost city of the incas «Machu Picchu».
• ** This day within the classic Inca trail will be personally the most beautiful due to the scenic beauty, snowy mountains, the Inca trail within the beginning of the Amazon rainforest, the view of the Machu Picchu Mountain, the panorama from Intipata and the visit of Wiñaywayna: better known as mini Machu Picchu
